From the interview to the post-course, administration, St Giles Highgate is outstanding. The tutors are jet-powered, full of creative and tested ideas for making lessons interactive and effective. They are always available to help with planning, they give useful feedback which is constructive and sensitive. The college is situated in a quiet street in Highgate; it has a beautiful garden, well-equipped teaching spaces and a cafe where the staff are really friendly. The way the course is run creates a positive, supportive atmosphere where you can form strong relationships with fellow trainees and the lovely students you teach in the afternoons. The course is intensive, and it's hard to find time for anything else during the four weeks, but - as in all things - you get out what you put in! I would recommend St Giles Highgate unreservedly.

I learned so much on this course, on so many levels and I feel so much more confident now to teach English to others.

The tutors were amazing and I felt like I learnt a lot. I already had a Bachelor's in Education and a Master's in English Literature and Linguistics, so sometimes it felt like it was going a bit slowly. There weren't a lot of students to practise on at times, so that was often stressful. It was still a great experience, though I would have loved some more guidance to get a better "grade" by the end.

St. Giles' CELTA gave me fantastic preparation for my first year of teaching English. I am now working full time and still use some of the lessons I delivered during the course!
