The European Language Examination Centre is an institution officially accredited by Cambridge English Language Assessment (formerly University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations), Cambridge-Michigan Language Assessments and Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch for administering international language exams in English and German respectively, as well as delivery of international teacher training programmes. The company also holds teacher training accreditations granted by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic.
The centre is located in the centre of the city and has accommodation for CELTA trainees directly above the school.

Our centre is housed in a building dating back in the 16th century in the very historical heart of the city, close to all the main sights and attractions.
All accommodation options are self-catering apartments within 5 - 20 mins walking distance (5 - 15 mins by public transportation) from the centre. Several single-bed rooms are located on the top floor of the training centre building right in the historical city centre. Trainees are put up in these rooms on the first-come-first-serve basis.
České Budějovice lies close to the border with Austria with which it shares a lot of its cultural heritage and, say, a big part of the hospitable and easy-going mentality. Located in the picturesque and unpolluted region of South Bohemia much sought after by holiday-goers from both the Czech Republic and all around Europe, the city with its population of 100 000 is the regional capital and a hub for business, culture and education.

It was a great place to take my CELTA course! The tutors were passionate, the staff were so helpful, and the students were supportive as well. The town was also great, cozy enough to concentrate on studying! I would love to recommend this course to many of the future candidates!

The course was well planned and organised. It came up to my expectations. In fact, the input and output sessions have contributed to my personal growth and professional development alike. I particularly appreciated both positive and negative feedback I received from the trainers. It helped me to address the areas that needed improvement. In contrast to my previous teaching experience, my lessons are now far more systematic and efficient . Having completed the course, I feel more confident and determined to pursue a career in the ELT industry.
I did a month-long CELTA course in July 2014 at this centre and I have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience; I am therefore very happy to recommend it. Location-wise, you couldn't find a better place to do an intense course like the CELTA.The town is beautiful and tranquil, the cost of living is low, and the accommodation is very satisfactory. I also couldn't recommend the tutors enough. They're extremely knowledgeable about their subject but also very friendly and supportive, which is important. Once again, highly recommended.
