It’s just incredible what teachers can achieve in a month. Although it being obviously a tough time, I was delighted with the kind of emotional support trainees received. Well-run routine, great facilities, positive atmosphere and professional guidance made it an unforgettable experience.
I took the CELTA course in Zaporizhzhia in June, 2019, and this experience changed my whole life! First, our tutors were unbelievably helpful and empathetic - they kept supporting us throughout the whole course. Secondly, both tutors and participants were really knowledgeable - it was such a pleasure to collaborate and share experience. I also realized that teaching after CELTA is much easier and brings excellent results. Besides, the Polyglot facilities were great - all the stylish rooms were equipped with modern computers, loud speakers, air conditioners and projectors. It made our participation even more enjoyable. What is more, the location of this school seems perfect - it was really easy and cheap to get there by bus and there were 4 really nice cafes in a walking distance, so we had lunch there. I’d like to express my deep gratitude to the Polyglot team and recommend this language centre to anyone who’s planning to do CELTA!
It was an unforgettable month. This course gave me invaluable experience, knowledge, skills which I have been trying to apply in my teaching practice. I really appreciate it!
I completed my full-time CELTA course at the Centre ‘Polyglot’, Zaporizhzhia on June 28th, 2019. 24 days of study were filled with input sessions, teaching practices, observations and tons of other things. They were exhausting, tiring, and at times very hard but believe it or not, they were also exhilarating, fun, challenging and overall great. On the first day I met many new people of different ages and teaching qualifications but soon we became a tight-knit support group of colleagues. We shared ideas concerning planning and teaching and were ready to stay longer together in order to show better results on the next day. We kept our fingers crossed for each other while teaching practices. CELTA is a really stressful experience. We knew that and were right there to wipe tears of those who felt discouraged. I feel lucky I got that chance to become one of the trainees at ‘Polyglot’. I’d like to express my deep gratitude to the highly professional tutors Marina Gaiduchenko and Anastasia Shalamai for their kindness and wise support! They could expertly teach, give an extra push sometimes and of course, motivate to succeed. An important element for our common success was the proper organisation of the course by the staff of the Centre ‘Polyglot’ and by its director Oxana Kozub. Everything we wanted was provided to enable us to achieve the desired objective. The CELTA course is over. Now I realize that challenging course in June was much more for me than just practices and trainings. CELTA inspired me for further perfection both as a professional and as a personality. I feel I am in love with life and teaching again! I know exactly, my CELTA certificate will help me get a better job and a better pay and live the best version of myself! For me, CELTA was a really good way to expand my horizons and boost my teaching skills. It is 120% worth it!
Although it was tough, it was worth. Tutors were very supportive and we could use all facilities, kindly provided by the centre.
