Delta is a flexible, three-module qualification for people with experience of teaching English to speakers of other languages who want to progress further in their careers. Because it is awarded by Cambridge English Language Assessment, part of the University of Cambridge, Delta is internationally recognised, highly respected and a benchmark for quality.
Module 1 (the exam) focuses on extending and developing candidates’ knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning English in a range of contexts.
Module 2 (teaching practice) focuses on developing awareness and expertise in the principles and professional practice of teaching English in a range of contexts.
Module 3 (course design) focuses on needs analysis, syllabus design, course planning and assessment.
The three modules can also be taken separately and are separately certificated.
The three modules of Delta will:
This qualification is for teachers with some experience who want to:
The Cambridge Delta is recognised and accepted all over the world by organisations employing English language teachers. All three modules are separately accredited by Ofqual, the regulator for qualifications, exams and tests in England at Level 7 on the National Qualifications Framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Delta modules can also be integrated into some MA programmes in the UK.
Cambridge say that people entering the course will normally have at least two years' full-time relevant teaching experience, a first degree, an initial teaching qualification, a range of teaching experience, and a sufficient level of English. As the wording suggests, these are not absolute requirements. In practice, though, course providers are quite precious about their pass rates and so often impose their own requirements (such as a longer period of teaching experience) on people applying to take the course through them. Having taken part in a lot of professional development is probably the most useful thing for actually passing the course.

Almaty formerly known as Alma-Ata is the largest city in Kazakhstan with the population of 1500 000 people. Although Almaty lost its status as a capital of Kazakhstan in 1997 when the capital moved to Astana, it remains the country's cultural and business centre and main transport hub.
This beautiful town at the foot of the emerald Tien-Shan mountains is rightly called a garden city. In spring, when its southern outskirts are drowning in apple, apricot and cherry blossom, Almaty looks like something out of a fairytale.
Almaty is a great destination for winter sports like mountain skiing and ice-skating. In summer many tourists and locals enjoy hiking and camping in the mountains.
The green attire of the city with many parks, fountains, squares and gardens and magnificent mountains as the background to the picture gives Almaty a unique look.
It is great!!!
CELTA course was the best course I have ever had in my life. I had never imagined I could have my CELTA online and I am glad I chose InterPress IHAlmaty. I loved how compassionate and encouraging my tutors were all through the course. They provided the most useful feedback to me and guided me with their insightful advice to improve my teaching skills. I recommend English teachers or anyone interested in gaining international qualification in TEFL to participate this life-changing course as it will inspire you in your career greatly by delineating the path for you in its most professionally perfect way.
I took the course with the hope of improving as a teacher. It was an intensive course and required a lot of hard work and I'm really glad to have done the course. The tutors are amazing and I've learned a lot from them.
